  2. Customized Alerts: Choose how you want to receive alerts - via text, email, phone call, or app notification. We cater to your preferences, ensuring you get information in the way that works best for you.

  3. Local Updates: Stay informed about what's happening in your community. Our alerts are tailored to your specific location, so you'll receive pertinent information that directly affects you and your loved ones.

  4. Peace of Mind: By signing up, you're taking a proactive step towards safeguarding your family, property, and well-being. Knowing you're informed and prepared can reduce stress during emergencies.

  5. Help Others: By receiving alerts, you can also help your neighbors and community members by sharing important information. Together, we can create a safer, more resilient community.

Non-emergency alerts could include significant transportation problems with prolonged impacts or significant ongoing police or fire activity. This list is not meant to be all inclusive. In addition to receiving information on your wireless device, you may also receive notification on your land telephone line (if you have one) depending on the type of incident or event.

Signing up is quick and easy. Don't wait until the next emergency strikes. Be proactive, join our Emergency Alert System/ Notification System now, and ensure you're prepared for whatever challenges come our way. Your safety is our top priority. This new system will replace Nixle on January 1, 2024.

Please provide your address and preferred method(s) of contact. Adding your address will allow tailoring so you do not receive alerts that don’t pertain to your geographical area.

These alerts are provided free of charge, however standard text messaging rates and other charges may apply.

If you wish to subscribe to EMERGENCY SMS text messages only, text Middletown to 38276.  There is also a mobile app available.
