Business Improvement District, In partnership with the City of Middletown has created a standing tradition with Middletown’s Annual Tree Lighting Parade and Ceremony the day after Thanksgiving. Starting on North Street, the parade heads to West Main Street and draws to conclusion at Festival Square for ceremony involving a special appearance from Santa to assist in lighting the tree.

This year’s festivities will take place Friday, November 26th 2021. Live Entertainment will take place at Run 4 Downtown Park on North Street, and Festival Square on West Main Street. Following the festivities, a free showing of It’s a Wonderful Life will take place at the Paramount Theatre of Middletown at 7:45 PM. 
Plus The Middletown Recreation & Parks Department will have their Letter's To the North Pole Mailboxes in place at Festival Square & The Paramount Lobby! Be sure to bring your letter to Santa with you and drop it in one of the "Merry Mailboxes" (Don't forget a self-addressed envelope with postage enclosed with your letter to ensure safe delivery back.)


Businesses, Organizations, or Bands affiliated with the City of Middletown and/or the Business Improvement District who want to participate in the 2021 Middletown Tree Lighting Ceremony & Parade please contact us starting in September! Space is limited, and it will be a time-sensitive matter.
