A winner and a runner-up for each category will be announced on Saturday, Dec. 5 in Middletown in front of the Christmas tree in Festival Square, immediately after the Jimmy Sturr concert that will be held that afternoon at the Paramount Theater.

Prizes will include a one-year subscription to Orange County Epoch Times, hundreds in BID dollars that can be spent at Middletown’s downtown merchants, and other valuable prizes. More details to come.

The Annual Christmas Tree has arrived at Festival Square! It arrived despite the dreary weather on November 10th, to a small gathering that watched the tree removed from the flat bed and deposited at the center of Festival Square. A favorite tradition for many.

Remember, the tree will be lit on November 27th. Festivities start at Festival Square at 6 PM. With Parade step off at 6:30 PM

Thank you very much to the following groups, who without this years tree arrival would not be possible:

The Levi Family, for the donation of this years tree.

Regional Trucking, for the transportation and machinery used for cutting the tree.

John Tresch of J H M Tree Services, for cutting and trimming our tree.

The City of Middletown DPW & Recreations and Park Department, for the machinery and man power.

And the combined efforts in the spirit of Municipal Cooperation of the Town of Wallkill and The City of Middletown Police Departments in blocking off traffic and escorting our lovely tree to festival square.

As well as Rotolo & Son Inc. Electrical Contractors, for placing the lights on the tree
